A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that
measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of
view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors. The
module has an onboard pyroelectric sensor, conditioning circuitry, and a
dome-shaped Fresnel lens. The sensitivity of the module can be
controlled using the potentiometers at the back side of the module. This
product is breadboard friendly and can be easily interfaced with an
Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
